Hello. I have an NT 4.0 PDC that is also a DNS server. Everyday, it
attempts to connect to root DNS servers on various IRC ports (6665, 6667,
6669, etc.) The source port is 53. The local IT group has looked at the box
several times, but they can't find anything wrong with it. I don't think
this behavior is normal. Can anyone offer some advice?

No advice needed, the source port is the one it is connecting to on outgoing
connections.
